Holiday Video

I sometimes think to myself that if I wasn’t doing video edits for work, I would be doing it for a hobby. This reassures me that I’m in the right field!

Since I’ve finished work edits for the time being, I’ve been able to pick up some hobby edits. Here is a quick one I put together with some takes from our trip to Japan, that my husband and I took at the end of last year. All hand filmed on my Cannon G7X.

I’ll be working on PART II of the trip, until our baby arrives!

If you have holiday footage sitting around that you’d love to see put together in a video (and it doesn’t have to be top class footage) send me a message! I’d love some more video projects as the wedding season quietens down.

Eco-Friendly Goals

I am all for eco-friendly business’s, so I thought why not be an eco-friendly business myself?

Sadly, the amount of USB’s I have delivered has just contributed to the plastic catastrophe which is now coming to light in the media and to people’s attention. Every parcel I post ultimately adds to landfill and plastic waste. This is why I have decided to begin moving to a digital delivery of video’s. This digital delivery will give me and my clients a peace of mind, not having to worry about a safe delivery, and instant access to downloads.

So for 2019, I intend to deliver majority of my video’s digitally, and eventually stop USB delivery completely. I understand that some clients will still prefer a tangible delivery, so for some time I will make that option available, but this is not something I wish to continue in the long term. All prior bookings made detailing USB delivered will still have USB delivered, unless requested otherwise.

This is a small step I have decided to take to begin creating a more eco-friendly videography business.

Sarah + Cody

A good marriage must be created. In marriage the little things are the big things.
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is at no time taking the other for granted; the courtship should not end with the honeymoon, it should continue through the years.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together facing the world. It is forming a circle of love that gathers the whole family…

…It’s not only marrying the right person, it’s being the right person, and that is the art of marriage

THE ART OF MARRIAGE by Wilferd Arlan Peterson

I think Sarah and Cody’s choice of reading goes to show a lot about the kind of relationship they have cultivated. That is, one of mutual adoration, respect, love and each one bettering the other.

Supported by the love of their family and friends surrounding them, in the beautiful setting of Tropical Gardens, UWA, their wedding was full of true love and beauty.

DOVE is in the Air…

Have you ever wondered why my logo has images of birds in it? Let me give you a background story.

My dear Dad has hand-raised and kept birds since he was a boy. From doves to parrots and everything in between. That means that my growing up was very colourful with pet birds! My brother also picked up a taste for the feathered variety and now raises and keeps birds himself.

As for me, I have always had a fondness for birds, wether it’s a local magpie, galah or little wagtail. As a child I used to carry around our family’s hand-raised pink and grey galah everywhere-even to the potty! (Shame) I share this to illustrate my love for birds.

I also love that they fly, which presents an image of motion, as well as a symbol of freedom and joy.

My Dad has turned his passion into a business of dove releasing and called it Releasing Celebrations

Now I don’t know if as a bride, you have considered releasing doves at your wedding, but it can be a beautiful thing to add to your day.
